Yeah
I fucking love The Wonder Years. My pre-order comes in tommorow. I’m going to put my headphones in and stray away from studying but sinking into the deepness of this album. They taught me not to be sad anymore.
I worked on Something I Like, It’s A Nice Tradition, I drank to drown my sorrows, but the damned things learned to swim, and Headphones Are The Keys To My Home. Currently still writing and producing. I think I will have 14 tracks for both cds, including the online and the donation edition. With the The Early November’s highly anticipated album coming out soon, I been getting inspired. I been listening to The Wonder Years alot and have been writing alot about my life from high school and until now. I’m excited to work on this album as it’s all self produced and it will all fit to my taste. “I am an artist, but I’m not in the money” I am not in it for the money, but I really hate seeing that artist and I need money bullshit, I don’t work free. Damn it, I work for free, when I perform I do it free, when they offer me money to perform, I usually cut the price down. I spent over $1000 on my equipment and I haven’t made a penny from it from selling any of my stuff (besides performing) Anyways here are what will come with each release.
Online Edition: (free)
12+ tracks
20+ min making of DVD
Music Video
Donation Edition ($5) - Itunes
12+ tracks
20+min making of DVD
Music Video
Possibly 2 itunes exclusive tracks.
I’m ready to perform for my cd release shows and listening party over in S.Korea and here in the US. my small Korea tour will begin next summer where I’ll perform in small local bars/cafes with the help of my friends managing it from S.Korea. Check it out. I’m getting there.
day 2 of writing:
Started writing some songs on my acoustic guitar, thinking of throwing a track or two made on the guitar onto the cd. I’m planning
on upgrading software from Cool Edit Pro 2.1 to Adobe Audition 3, I tried the latest one but it was horrible for me, Adobe Audition 1.5
was pretty much like CEP but more to do. The producing software, Ableton will be kept the same. I’m planning on getting Live Intro for myself
instead of using my cousin’s copy. I been throughly planning out this cd and I’ll have a rough mix of a song soon titled “Something I Like”
featuring The MSG KID. I been working on a new song called “It’s A Nice Tradition” I’m still tweaking around with it then I’m going to start
my next song titled “I’m Alone In This Waiting Room” This will be a really good project. I’ll have the album up on 3 places
from datpiff and bandcamp for the free online edition (14 tracks with 4 bonus, and a 20 minute video) and an itunes copy for sale for 5$ and it will include
14 tracks, plus 2 itunes exclusive, and a 20 minute making of, and a music video) all for 5$, but if you don’t want it on itunes, just cop it out on datpiff
or bandcamp, the itunes copy will be the “Donation Edition” Anyways, I’ll be updating soon and start producing again soon.
I’m not sad anymore.
After losing of my harddrive I decided to re-write the album, this cd isn’t just about my life
but listening to The Wonder Years, The Early November as well as other rappers such as Dumbfoundead
Childish Gambino, and D-Pryde. After the release of “It’s Beautiful After The End” which was recorded
mainly with Kwon Jungah and featured The MSG KID (Who will also appear on this cd) The Upsides was mainly
the inspiration that led to writing this album. TWY has taught me not to be sad anymore and with that philosophy
set in mind, this album will be just like that. This album will have a concept between what happen to me in high school
and up until now. A 2nd year student in college, living off loans, it’s pretty horrible. I’m currently in the middle
of producing instrumentals, ranging from something simple to something more awkward for rap. What kind of sound
will this album have? It’s going to be awkward. But it’s how I feel about it. I decided to release this officially
under my net label/crew; Team Sky Nite. I plan on writing like 10-15 songs here in America and while I take a winter
vacation in S.Korea, I’ll plan to write maybe another 5 or so songs there. Come back home, finish producing/recording
record all 20+ songs? Maybe, I’ll decide on 14 tracks to make it on the album. “I Don’t Even Know What I’m Upset About”
will be about fighting back. It’s not about forcing happiness, it’s about not letting the sadness win.
